Johann Balthasar Bezler  Abt :   Feb 1652--Oct. 1700
                Elisabetha Pahley  Abt:  1656

Occupation for Johann Balthasar was listed as a citizen, single and butcher in the marriage to Elisabetha  Pahley in 1673.  His father is listed as Johannes Bezler former citizen, innkeeper of Black Bear Inn and member of the court.

Johannes George Pahley former citizen, innkeeper and saddle maker was the father of Elizabetha Pahley.  Witnesses to the wedding were Wohtgang Brinnger and Hans George Gagth, citizen & beer brewer.

Johann Bathasar and Elisabetha had 9 children--one girl  and 8 boys 2 stillborn.  We have yet to find  Elisabetha's death record, so we estimated from their marriage date that it would be almost 1656.
During the thirty Year's War (1618-1648)  Germany was pretty chaotic and records either were not kept or they became lost.

The Thirty Year's War started as a religious one between Catholics and Protestant regions in Germany and developed into one of grasping for territory and power by the countries surrounding Germany, Spain, France, Denmark, Sweden.
These armies crossed and recrossed Germany for 30 years burning whole towns, killing all the inhabitants, destroying fields and stock.  This devastation left Germany depleted in men and living neccesities.  Germany was prostate and weakened for many years.
